Anastasia Puppis

Artistic director

Anastasia Puppis, artistic director of Compagnie UEUEUE, trained at the Accademia Nico Pepe in Udine, where she explored classical theatre, mask work and contemporary dance. Her encounter with puppetry alongside François Lazaro and Johanny Bert in Paris, then with Pulcinella alongside Bruno Leone and Gaspare Nasuto in Naples, definitively oriented her artistic path towards puppetry and street theatre. In parallel, she deepened her theoretical thinking through a Master's degree in « Scènes du monde, histoire et création » at Paris 8 University, exploring the relationships between actors and puppets in live performance.

Léandre Simioni

Administrator

Léandre Simioni, administrator of Compagnie UEUEUE, from a family of actors, developed a versatile approach to the stage from an early age. His path of excellence at the Paris Conservatoire (DEM in horn) led him towards classical orchestras before he turned to the diatonic accordion and traditional music. Alongside his work as an actor with Compagnie Bouche à Bouche, he embodies within Compagnie UEUEUE the essential figure of the barker-musician, the puppet's indispensable accomplice. Together, they perpetuate and reinvent the European heritage of Polichinelle and his counterparts.
