Lectures / Masterclasses: Expertise and academic exchange
The company's expertise in the field of glove puppetry leads it to participate regularly in academic and professional contexts.
- BnF (2023): Lecture "Tradition and contemporary creation" as part of the Matières Sensibles cycle, examining technical heritage as a foundation for innovation.
- Théâtre aux Mains Nues (2022): Dramaturgical analysis of convergences between mask and puppet, exploring gestural and vocal specificities.

In complement to the exhibition "Le Secret des Polichinelles", the company offers targeted presentations on the historical iconography of European puppetry, its technical evolution and its sociocultural impact. These activities are part of UEUEUE's commitment to the promotion of a living intangible heritage and its transmission to new generations of artists and researchers.
Workshops / Mediation: From discovery to creation
Led by Anastasia and Léandre, the company's workshops offer a practical introduction to the art of glove puppetry, combining making and manipulation. The workshops develop an active pedagogy where the making and handling of puppets encourages distancing, body awareness and expression, enabling participants to discover unsuspected capacities within themselves while appropriating an ancestral cultural heritage.
Our approach
- Creation: Making puppets with ecological materials
- Manipulation: Learning fundamental techniques
- Expression: Developing theatrical play accompanied by live music
- Sharing: Showcasing the work through a short performance
Available formats
- Discovery workshops (1h–3h)
- Intensive residencies (2–5 days)
- Territorial projects (multi-week programmes)
The company's interventions adapt to all audiences and ideally complement its shows, creating an immersive experience that strengthens the connection with territories and their inhabitants.
